He was definitely the star of the day, with his pocket square gaining much attention. To complement the groomsmen, the bridesmaids wore a mixture of dress styles from ReWritten, as Amiee wanted them to look and feel beautiful. She asked them to choose their preferred colours, sage green or bold forest green. The junior bridesmaids wore white dresses from H&M, Shein or JJ’s House and had sashes from ReWritten. TIME TO CELEBRATE Upon the guests’ arrival, the groomsmen greeted everyone and handed out wedding newspapers, which included the couple’s love story, the order-of-the-day, and a crossword. These were a great way for everyone to learn more about the day and act as a conversation starter. The bride says, “We wanted the wedding to be full of fun, love and laughter while encouraging both sides of our families to interact. So luckily, my cousin Michael is a magician who entertained our guests during the drinks reception. The children loved him and were amazed, as were the adults! We loved looking back at our video and seeing different groups of people being brought together by Michael. We also had the beautiful Alison singing away; everyone commented on her lovely voice. “We wanted everyone to be dancing and having fun! Therefore, we enjoyed a band and a DJ. We love soul music and were delighted to find the fantastic uptown showdown from Boujee Music. We initially found it hard to find a band that also DJs rather than just playing a playlist during breaks. However, Uptown Showdown was our answer and was brilliant! They performed our first dance song, I Was Made For Lovin’ You by Kiss, as an acoustic version and upbeat mix to perfection! They got the crowd going, and everyone loved them.” MEMORABLE MOMENTS Aimee felt unbelievably calm and happy on the day! She says, “I knew I had my wedding coordinator Ruth and Lizzie from the venue there to help and support me throughout the day. I allowed myself to let go as I knew they would look after everything for me. I felt so loved and it’s true what they say – it really was the best day! Our florist created the most stunning bouquets and pocket meadows. Our dog sitter Tammie, who was labelled our ‘Bruce chaperone’, ensured he was well-behaved and looked after. Our celebrant Anna’s words were beautiful and represented us so well. My dad, the brother-in-law and our friends went above and beyond to organise such beautiful transport for us.” Ben was nervous at the start of each segment of the day, waking up, driving to the venue and the start of the speeches, but he found it natural and easy once he settled into it. “I floated through the day; it all went perfectly, and everyone was in such a joyous mood”, he recalls. “There was seamless customer support from the team, sorting out whatever people requested. There were many memorable moments like the personal ceremony, the food, dancing with loved ones and the car ride to the hotel in the evening that felt magical thanks to the full moon!” Psst, follow Bruce the Eurasier on Instagram here: @bruce_eurasier 48
