Following messaging back and forth, it quickly became apparent that they had many things in common with each other such as their humour and a love for dogs. When the pair first met, it was Lauren’s smile that caught Neil’s attention. He says, “It is infectious, and I couldn’t help but fall in love with it.” The more he got to know Lauren, the more he fell head over heels for her. For Lauren, she was attracted to Neil’s looks and bright blue eyes, which she found captivating. Neil popped the question during a trip to New York in Central Park. Lauren says: “When we reached a secluded spot, he dropped down on one knee and popped the question. It was a complete surprise. We celebrated with lunch then headed to Tiffany’s to pick out an engagement ring – it was so romantic!
