Your Herts and Beds Wedding - June/July 2020 (Issue 80)

As a surprise, my mum revealed on the day that she had asked the seamstress to sew a little bit of her old wedding dress into the underlining of my dress. So, I had a little flower from my mum’s dress inside mine. Our table names were all named after things or places that we love as a couple and followed alphabetical order. For example, one table was named ‘D is for Dexter’, as Dexter is our much-loved cat! My dress was by Enzoani, a designer I hadn’t looked at before I tried my dress on. My mum suggested I try it on and at first I wasn’t sure if it was for me, but as soon as I put it on I knew it encompassed everything I had been looking for and I loved it, so well done to my mum! As Offley Place is so beautiful, it didn’t need much extra décor. We added our personal touches where needed, such as a copper-framed order of the day sign, a card box and ceremony booklets. To try and encompass how I felt when I first saw myself on the big day is almost indescribable! On the day, as clichéd as it sounds, it did all come together, and I truly felt just radiant and the best version of myself. Chris wore a dashing blue suit from Marc Darcy with a slight tweed pattern to it. He accessorized with a contrasting beige waistcoat and matching bow tie. The groomsmen wore matching suits to the groom. In order to look different, the best men wore a blue waistcoat. REAL WEDDINGS 45 
