Your Herts and Beds Wedding - February/March 2024 (Issue 102)

James wore a custom-made royal blue suit that was purchased from Anthony Formal Wear. He wanted a look that stood out from the groomsmen. My bridesmaids wore dusty blue coloured sarees for the traditional ceremony and then changed to a similar colour for the rest of the wedding day. It was a real pinchme moment after getting ready! I had tried the dress and saree on a few times beforehand for measurement purposes, but on the day with hair and make-up all done, it was such an emotional and happy moment that made the whole day seem much more real! The first time I saw James was while I was walking down the aisle at our traditional ceremony – it was a wonderful moment with a rush of many emotions. It made me feel happy and excited all in one; many of my nerves melted away. We had a DJ for our evening reception, which was a big hit! The supplier played various songs to ensure there was something for everyone! I wore a stunning gown designed by Stella York featuring a sweetheart neckline, strapless design and an A-line silhouette. I always wanted a simple design and material for a classy, elegant look. The dress came with a cute belt and a slit, which added a bit of jazz to the look! My traditional ceremony saree was bought in Sri Lanka, and for this look, I went for a more embellished saree to stand out from my simpler dress. REAL WEDDINGS 43
