Your Gloucestershire and Wiltshire Wedding- April/May 2020 (Issue 20)

When we first visited Manor by the Lake, we knew that we had found the right place in which to make the most important commitment to each other. We loved that it had a Downton Abbey feel to it and that the manicured grounds would look amazing in our photographs. Plus, it was close to the other hotels in the area because we didn’t want our guests travelling a long way to the church and then the venue. We wanted a close family setting where people could mingle and have quiet moments to reflect with each other. We didn’t really want a theme. Instead, we tried to keep the colours coordinated and chose pretty things that suited our choice of venue like our stunning illuminated letters. “We chose Nikki Kirk as our wedding photographer because she made the most wonderful first impression. She was kind, friendly, approachable and extremely talented, and let our son William play with her dogs at her studio! She was there for us at every point during our day making sure that everything was OK and helping to keep me calm.
