However, after staying on to do higher education, something suddenly clicked, and the attrac- tion started to grow. Emily says: “After moving into our first home together, we realised that we never wanted to be without each other again.” On the couple’s fifth anniversary, Jamie asked Emily to marry him. She says: “He got down on one knee and asked the question after cooking us a nice romantic meal. He had also been very traditional and asked my fa- ther for permission.
