HEALTHY LOCKS Q: I want my hair to be in good condition for the wedding, how can I achieve a healthy look? Looking amazing on your wedding day is not just about the dress, many brides spend months on a healthy diet and exercise routine to feel their best. Just like taking care of your body, you should do the same for your hair. These are a few simple points on how to achieve the perfect hair… ❤ Eat healthily and drink plenty of water. ❤ Colour and highlight your hair less often and use a deep conditioning treatment once a week. ❤ Try to stop using any hot hair tools, go all-natural for a while. When you occasionally use hot tools remember to use heat protection. ❤ Get small trims every six weeks. ❤ If you have oily hair, wash with cooler water and leave to dry naturally. Do not wrap your hair in a towel – this will warm your head up again. ❤ If you have dry hair, wash less frequently to give your it time for its natural oils to come out and self-treat. ❤ Wear a hat when you’re in the sun. Follow these simple points to have luxurious hair on your wedding day and the rest of your life! To find the perfect foundation for your wedding you need to know your skin type, what finish you want in a foundation, (such as matte, dewy or satin) and you will need it to last throughout your big day! Make sure when selecting a shade, you see it in natural daylight and ask for a tester so you can trial it at home and see how long it lasts on the skin. If you’re getting a spray tan before you tie the knot, then it may be worth buying a few shades – one that matches your skin and another deeper shade so you can mix to match your tan on the day. A few of my favourite foundations are Armani Luminous Silk Foundation for more of a glowing finish, Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick for normal skin and Makeup Forever Matte Velvet Skin Foundation for a matte finish. Remember to set with a good powder and setting spray such as Urban Decay All Nighter. What would you suggest? The boho dress era was originally in the '60s and '70s, with this type of gown now firmly back – with its effortless feel we love it more than ever! The typical fabrics used are simple but have such an elegant style, from lace to embroidery or with embellishment and beading. We love dresses that capture the essence of boho with a modern twist like this dress by Willowby by Watters. At Anna Wood Bridal, we believe that finding the perfect gown starts with you feeling amazing about yourself. For us, the starting point to finding a dream gown is the relationship we have with you and getting to know you as a person. We then do whatever it takes, if that be in the boutique or whether we source it from one of our amazing designers. We take away the stress of shopping around as we act as your wedding dress shopper. Our aim is for you to feel the most amazing version of yourself on the best day of your life. Anna Wood | Anna Wood Bridal | www.annawoodbridal.co.uk www.watt ers.com 78
