Your East Midlands Wedding - Feb/Mar 2020 (Issue 36)

The make-up artist Ruth and hair stylist Katie were fab – we had a lovely morning getting ready with them. Walking down the aisle with my dad was the best moment of my life – I was just so excited to see Ian and marry him. Ian’s speech was brilliant too, he really stole the show! I wore a Bardot St Patrick gown from the White One collection called Ossa . I knew I wanted something with sleeves and just loved the Bardot style. I didn’t think I’d choose something so big but I loved all of the A-line silhouettes. I had always loved this church – about a year before Ian proposed we visited it together and talked about how lovely it would be to get married there. I let my bridesmaids pick their dresses – the only brief was it had to be grey and full-length. They looked great all together. We had a harpist at the church called Harriet Flather, who was wonderful. I walked down the aisle to Nessun Dorma , which was the song played when Leicester City lifted the Premier League trophy in 2016! 48
