Your East Anglian Wedding - August/September 2020 (Issue 44)

We named the tables after places we’d been to together. Our semi-naked cake had a different flavour for each tier, chocolate, vanilla, lemon drizzle and salted caramel. We had a sweetheart table for just the two of us and I used my bouquet as the centrepiece. We gave our guests scratchcards in aid of St Nicholas Hospice as I used to work there so it’s a charity close to my heart. We had wooden table names and made goody bags for the children. The bridesmaids’ gorgeous grey gowns were floaty and beautiful, definitely a great choice. Our flowergirls wore blush pink dresses and Shaun’s daughter looked adorable in a pretty white one. Shaun surprised me and our guests with some singing waiters. They were absolutely incredible and I was in tears many times because I was so overwhelmed. Shaun had helped them to chose songs we’d all love and at the end they performed an opera song which blew me away. Rebecca’s top tip Enjoy the planning, the day is over in a flash so really make the most of the time before the wedding, especially the few days before when you may feel overwhelmed with emotions. Our florist made beautiful centrepieces for the tables and we added sparkly gems. REAL WEDDINGS 45 
