Your Devon and Cornwall Wedding - March/April 2021 (Issue 30)

Sam wore chinos and a blue blazer teamed with a pink tie. I was running around the day before the wedding buying him a belt! I teamed my dress with a pair of earrings that Sam gave to me on the morning of our wedding, an elegant veil and my grandmother’s blue sapphire ring. My dress was perfect for a late-summer wedding with strappy detail on the back. We styled the venue with pretty bunting and Mr & Mrs letters. We fed our guests canapés and a table-top picnic provided by Kerra’s Catering. The giant heart-shaped pasty proved to be very popular with our guests and so did our Colin the Caterpillar wedding cake! The groomsmen all looked handsome in their matching outfits to Sam’s. “For our honeymoon, Sam’s parents had hired a VW Campervan (originally for the wedding) so we drove that down to Treen Farm Campsite in Penzance, a campsite that we have wanted to visit for a while. We then enjoyed a wonderful stay in a Beach Suite at the Carbis Bay Hotel in Truro where Sam had booked us in for one night and his parents had kindly booked us an additional night’s stay.” — Laura “I loved having a small wedding party in the end because it was so easy to talk to everyone and it felt very informal and relaxed which is exactly the vibe we wanted to create.” — Laura 35  REAL WEDDINGS
