We went to Cancun in Mexico for 10 nights to an all-inclusive five-star resort on the beach front. We booked and planned it all together. The hotel and the whole honeymoon was incredible. We had the best time going on various day trips. My favourite was the boat safari when we saw dolphins and giant sea turtles in the wild. The wedding coordinator at Shrigley Hall, Eamonn, was absolutely fantastic. Our guests kept mentioning him after the day, remembering how he made everyone feel so comfortable. He really went above and beyond to keep us and our loved ones happy. We had canapés after the ceremony: hoisin duck wraps, welsh rarebits, mini prawn cocktails and mini shepherds pies. The wedding breakfast was goats cheese and caramelised onion tart, roasted pork with seasonal vegetables and apple jus, followed by lemon tart served with raspberry sorbet. Our place and table names were made with the help of my friend Shola on her Cricut! The latter were the four streets on which we’ve lived together and our two childhood homes.
