Your Cheshire and Merseyside Wedding - September/October 2020 (Issue 53)

REAL WEDDINGS 27 Our table plan was written on a mirror and made to complement our winter theme, with small snowflakes on each of the numbered tables. The place names were designed to match. Sophie walked down the aisle to the song I proposed to: Perfect by Ed Sheeran. It was a memorable moment for us both, as was the owl delivering our wedding rings. None of the guests expected it, so it was a nice surprise. During the day, the excellent Craig Owen played violin. He brought a classy and tasteful air to the occasion, and managed to work our requests into his set. The centrepieces ranged from small flower arrangements to large white trees, which had lined the aisle during the ceremony. Both gave a spectacular, wintry feel to the tables. Our favours were provided by Alder Hey Children’s Hospital. We decided on these as both of us have personal experience with the hospital, and the work they do is second to none. The cake was a three-tiered storybook shape. It was the perfect design for a fairytale wedding, and delicious too!
