THE ANATOMY OF Sarah and Chris chose an enchanted forest theme for their wedding celebrations at The Oak Tree of Peover on 16 th November, 2019 Images courtesy of AW Photography A workplace romance blossomed for Sarah and Chris, but if you’re picturing eyes meeting across a busy office, you can think again. The pair both taught anatomy to medical students at the time, which involved dissecting cadavers. “Not the most romantic of settings, given the strong smell of formaldehyde,” Sarah points out. Quite! Nevertheless, they say love can be found where you least expect it, and the two soon bonded over their shared love of cinema, theatre and holidays, quickly learning how much they enjoyed the light relief of being silly together. It was at the end of an incredible trip to Singapore, Malaysia and Bali, that Chris decided to propose. The couple had already enjoyed a wonderful day at the beach club, getting massages and later, hiring a chef to make them dinner. Little did Sarah know the day was about to get even better. She remembers, “After dinner we decided to jump in the swimming pool. Chris proposed in the water underneath the stars. It was simply magical.” The venue search was on, and Chris and Sarah had their sights set on somewhere they could make their own. The bride says, “We weren’t bothered about having a summer wedding, but were still looking for somewhere with the benefits of the great outdoors. The Oak Tree of Peover has glass walls, so even though we were warm and cosy inside, you could still enjoy the beautiful autumn trees outside. It was perfect.” Join us as Sarah shares her account of the couple’s enchanting wedding day… love REAL WEDDINGS 37 
