Your Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wedding - June/July 2020 (Issue 83)

I had planned to decorate the barn in the morning but now I was running late and I underestimated how much time it would take to put out all the flowers on the tables and put bunting up. My bridesmaids were a fantastic help, Zoe Warboys my photographer arrived and set about helping too, everyone mucked in. Our cake was made Stacey Pritchard we have worked together for many years and it looked and tasted amazing. I bought a selection of soft spring flowers in similar colours which I put in glass jars for the tables and they were also used to decorate our wedding cake which tied everything together. We decided on barbecue food with sharing platters which kept the guests mingling and was more relaxed than a served meal. In the evening we had a live band and disco by Ear Candy Oxford. They were brilliant and all of our guest loved the vibe they created. Our first dance was to Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran. The morning of the wedding was stressful the lady who was meant to do my hair and makeup cancelled! Suddenly I rushed into town to seek help. The lovely ladies, Amy and Shannon, at Forrester’s Hair Dressers in Pangbourne were amazing. They were fully booked all day but they could see how upset I was and that I had been let down on my wedding day so they fitted me in. I had a side plait and loose bun they did a fab job. A friend recommended Nikita-Jayne MUA to do my make-up and she was able to step in for me at the last minute. She was so lovely and very talented and did an amazing job for me. REAL WEDDINGS 29 
