Your Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wedding - Feb/Mar 2020 (Issue 81)

I wore an A-line princess, lace gown called Bronwyn by Anna Sorrano. I’d always wanted to look like a princess on my wedding day, and this was the perfect dress! There were broomsticks, potion bottles, wands and more candles scattered around the venue, with a soft toy Hedwig and quill pen on the registrar table. There were even Hogwarts house points in long vases which were filled with glitter. The floating candles the lighting company provided were absolutely magical and really captured the Harry Potter theme. The lights were dimmed throughout the meal, creating cosy feel. The table plan was a large Marauder’s Map, with everyone’s names on little pieces of parchment, and little footprints scattered around the map. We hired a blue Ford Anglia for the wedding car – the car the Weasleys drove in! It was fantastic, although a little difficult to get in and out of with my dress! I had a red rose bouquet and the bridesmaids, who wore burgundy dresses with white shawls, carried white rose bouquets. It had a real winter wedding look. REAL WEDDINGS 37 
