All the latest from around the county NEWS Nearlywed BRINGING THE OUTDOORS IN The recently renovated Orangery at Baddow Park House wedding venue in Chelmsford is a truly showstopping and versatile space, which is flooded with natural light. Seating up to 150 guests banquet-style, the space can be enhanced by opening up the wall of bi-folding doors to reveal idyllic views across the terrace to the vineyards beyond. “The seamless balance between indoors and outdoors makes the Orangery the perfect room for any season,” says group operations manager Kelly Sinnott. “Gorgeous summer wedding days and crisp autumnal evenings are equally suited here.” The space also benefits from a fully stocked bar, which mixes Art Deco styling with modern technology, adding a real focal point to nuptials. The Orangery can be turned around from day to evening with minimal fuss, meaning you and your guests can continue festivities all night without the need to relocate. The bespoke eveningwear brand launched in 2019, but with the eveningwear market not in full swing during the pandemic, owner Billy Harrison pivoted his business to create a beautiful bridal range. The collection will be bespoke, and Billy will work one-to-one with brides to create couture- inspired one-off gowns. “I love the idea of involving clients in the whole experience,” Billy says. “Their dream dress will be made to their exact wishes, requirements and specifications.” Couturiosity’s signature style is traditional with a contemporary twist. “We wanted to cater to all brides,” Billy explains. “As it’s bespoke, we can design any style to suit. I’d advise at least three months lead time so we can carry out fittings and ensure the dress is perfect.” Check out https://couturiosity.co.uk The great outdoors Sparrows Campsite, a glamping site and outdoor wedding venue in the Essex countryside, will be offering micro-weddings and glamping packages for summer 2021.
