An Essex Wedding - March/april 2021 (Issue 97)

EDITOR LOVES... We love this gorgeous shot by Jayes Photography. Every guest at this wedding is shown in the frame, after the pandemic meant their wedding of 120 guests was cut down to just eight. “I’m so glad they still got married and showed their love to the world,” photographer Lewis Jayes says. “Their determination is something I wanted to capture for my portfolio! The couple have been together ten years and are so full of love and energy; you can see on their faces how happy they are to finally be married.” Visit www.jayesphotography.co.uk A GOOD CAUSE Looking to make a sustainable choice with your wedding dress while also supporting a fantastic cause? Lady McAdden Breast Screening Trust has had to take the sad decision not to renew its lease for its Leigh-on-Sea premises, because of the effects of the pandemic. However, the trust has a temporary residence in Elmsleigh Drive, which houses hundreds of dresses and suits. The space will serve as a drop-off and collection point for internet sales. We didn’t want a traditional venue, instead, we were looking for something that reflected us as a couple. Then, we stumbled across beautiful giant tipis – but even that had its complications. It was hard to find quotes for tipis that included all the extras that make it a spectacular setting. We knew we couldn’t be alone, so the desire was ignited to help others solve the same problem: how to create their dream day with clear and simple combinations based around amazing tipi structures. We can help as much or as little as you want, from just hiring our beautiful giant tipis to mobile bars and full wedding coordination. What’s your background? I come from a PR and marketing background and have been involved in events for years, from celebrity launch parties to exhibitions. My jobs have always involved careful planning and delivering the best possible experiences for my clients, and this still rings true. I’m very creative and run a secondary business in personalised gifts and crafts, which means we can provide amazing personal touches for our couples. We also have an incredible logistics team as well as florists, stylists and even my nephew, George, who helps on site at the weekends! What can couples expect when working with you? We are people who truly care. While we want to work with lots of wonderful couples, we will never take on too many clients as we want to provide the best customer service possible. Whether you just want us to turn up on the day, or you need help finding suppliers and sourcing props, we’re here to help our couples have a wedding that’s truly their own.
