An Essex Wedding - Jul/Aug 2019 (Issue 87)

We both used to say that there’s no such thing as perfection, but to us, our day really was. When we saw each other at the church all the stress of organising melted away and we could just enjoy the moment. The men all looked dapper in three-piece black tuxedoes. Michael wore a grey bow tie while the groomsmen sported blue accessories to tie in with the bridesmaids’ stunning Sorella Vita gowns. My youngest bridesmaid wore a shorter version so she didn’t look too grown up. The boutique owner pulled out my Allure Bridals dress for me. I didn’t like it initially because of the colour of the sample, but when I put it on I knew it was the one . This was confirmed by the fact that my mum cried, which she hadn’t done with any others! I ordered it in white with a matching diamanté veil. We lined Michael’s guitar case with fabric and fairylights with a banner for our cards. Candles were dotted between the beams of the venue to add atmosphere while the trees outside were hung with lanterns. We travelled in a beautifully elegant 1950s Rolls Royce. REAL WEDDINGS 47 
