An Essex Wedding - Jan/Feb 2018 (Issue 84)

C hantelle and Andy had known of each other for a while but things didn’t really get going until the bride-to-be had returned from travelling around Australia. “My type has always been tall, dark and handsome,” shares Chantelle. “Not only was I extremely lucky that he matched that, but he had an incredible personality too!” “I was first attracted to her looks,” adds Andy. “Despite being a very attractive girl, her personality is infectious and she’s extremely kind-hearted.” After officially becoming a couple, their relationship naturally progressed quickly with the groom-to-be popping the question nine months later on a birthday trip to Disneyland Paris. “He proposed on Sunday 16 th November, 2014,” adds the bride. “I was so shocked I didn’t speak to him for a couple of hours. It wasn’t until we went to get some food, that I then burst into tears.” Here, Chantelle tells An Essex Wedding about their nuptials... What attracted us to Gosfield Hall was the stunning grounds, the bridal suite, the grand staircase and the location. It was an elegant setting so we decided to just decorate it with crystals and blooms. The gown was a fitted style from Confetti & Lace, which boasted a sweetheart neckline, gorgeous ruffles and a beautiful train. The bodice had a lace-effect with beading and gorgeous pearl buttons going down the back. I accessorised it with a plain ivory veil adorned with diamantés to complement my dress, a tiara, Swarovski diamond bracelet and a delicate white gold necklace – a wedding gift from Andy – which was the perfect finishing touch. 58 Andy donned a navy three-piece suit, with tail jacket, an ivory waistcoat and an oyster-coloured tie. The groomsmen had matching attire but with navy waistcoats so the groom could stand out. The bridesmaids wore long, silk gowns in a champagne hue which had a halterneck-style lace top. It was the dress which looked the most flattering on all the girls and complemented their skin tones too.
