An Essex Wedding - Jan/Feb 2018 (Issue 84)

Park Ward Carriage Company provided an impeccable service complete with red carpet and a champagne toast for the bride and groom directly after the church service. The quarter convertible Rolls-Royce Phantom VI Laudaulette and Daimler DS420 Laudaulette are simply stunning and we certainly travelled in style on our big day. Our florist Emmanuel created enchanting centrepieces. Five of our tables had tall arrangements made from white peonies, hydrangeas, herbs, white dill and beautiful garden roses, which were surrounded by a collection of gold tea lights, petals and single stems of peonies. The remaining five tables had low-level arrangements made of the same blooms with additional snapdragons and sweet peas. Each bridesmaid wore Ghost London gowns in an oyster tone. All four have gorgeous figures and I wanted each of them to feel both comfortable and confident in their dresses. My four-year-old niece wore a flowergirl variation in the same hue to further complement the bride tribe! For our table names we chose classical poets and authors to mirror our theme, these were printed in gold leaf to match our stationery design and set in gold frames. We incorporated a famous love quote from each author which made for a romantic setting. We had a Mr & Mrs light-up sign set up al fresco in front of the fountain. We’d planned this especially for our first dance and were lucky enough to have beautiful weather. We were surrounded by our family and friends while the band performed A Thousand Years – it was truly romantic and a moment we will cherish forever. We opted for a four-tier sponge cake with six fabulous flavours, complete with matte-finish icing and pearl shimmer, along with the K&K monogram featured throughout our stationery. The designer Ann also replicated the lace detail and scalloped trim from my dress and featured this on the top layer. REAL WEDDINGS 45 
