Timeless elegance A gorgeous gold colour scheme brought Kayleigh and Karl’s big day to life Images courtesy of Anesta Broad Photography K ayleigh and Karl first met while they were both working at their local fitness centre. “Karl was a personal trainer and I was working as a receptionist while I completed my fashion degree,” shares the bride, “I was first attracted to his charm and charisma.” Whereas, for Karl, he was drawn to her natural beauty. Fast-forward seven years and the groom- to-be surprised his future bride by popping the question. “On Valentine’s Day Karl decorated our home with balloons, candles and red roses and let me know that in three days we’d be going on holiday and I’d find out the destination at the airport,” says Kayleigh. “It turned out to be the Maldives! On the 20 th of February he arranged a private candle-lit dinner on an overwater pavilion, where he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him – how could the answer not be yes?” Here, the bride tells us more about their special day...
