Your Surrey Wedding - April/May 2022 (Issue 94)

In the evening, we had a photo mirror, beer pong table, drinking game table, light-up dancefloor and MTA Events as our DJ. All our guests commented on the entertainment and that it reminded them of what we have at our home when people come round for drinks. We felt overly excited as our day had been rescheduled three times. I was unusually calm considering I’m very organised and am a bit OCD with the finer details. As we were ab le to set up everything the day before due to no other events taking p lace, it meant our day went smoother than I could have imagined, and we could enjoy every second. The bridesmaids wore dresses from Sistaglam. We chose a floorlength design that was off-the-shoulder with a sequin top and tulle bottom. I wore a dress from the Blue by Enzoani c ollection, which I purchased from Brides Visited. I originally wanted long sleeves and lace detailing with a small puddle train. I wasn’t going to try on my dress as it wasn’t what I originally wanted, but as soon as I put it on before the assistant had even tacked me in , I cried and said I had found the one. I accessorised with a full-length veil, simp le hair clip and diamond stud earrings. During the day, we had a toastmaster calle d The Man in the Red Coat to keep the ceremony on track and to liais e with the guests. Lucas chose a navy velvet jacket, a grey tie , trousers, a waistcoat and a white shirt with black Dr. Martens loafers. He had a pocket watch that his mum and dad bought him that was different from the groomsmen. REAL WEDDINGS 59
