Your Surrey Wedding- August/September 2020 (Issue 84)

Our experts solve your problems WEDDING WORRIES THE ONE FOR ME Q – Our wedding planner has suggested we hire a celebrant for our big day, but we’re not sure what the role of a celebrate is. Should we book one, and what are the benefits? Your wedding should be personal to both of you. The beauty of a celebrant-led service is that it’s not governed by the same fixed script as a registrar. Remember your nuptials should be exciting, romantic, fun and creative. We can also incorporate any specific beliefs or particular traditions that you would like to include. A celebrant-led wedding allows you to choose your venue, the people involved and the content for the service. Your options are endless when it comes to your venue. You could choose a luxury hotel, a sandy beach, your favourite pub or someone’s back garden. I meet my couples in advance to discuss their vision, whether it be a traditional, formal or casual service, I devote my time in getting to know them to ensure they love everything I write. What are the benefits and what should we ask before booking? There are lots of options available. One-off lessons will help you get around the dancefloor, or a package of three lessons will ensure you wow your guests. Most companies will be able to help people with all abilities from those that have danced before to couples that have two left feet! Get in touch to discuss your needs. We offer a free consultation in person or on Zoom to see what type of music you’re considering and when you should start your lessons. Try and relax and turn it into a fun experience. Incorporating your colour scheme into your flowers is a simple way of keeping your theme consistent throughout your wedding. ❤ Look for burnt oranges, varying shades of reds, browns, green foliage and pops of cream or pale pink. ❤ Hypericum berries, garden roses, safari sunset and autumnal maple leaf are just a few examples of what you can find this time of year. ❤ Adding props to your arrangements can help create a styled look. Pine cones, cinnamon sticks, contorted willow and soft fairylights will help add an element of warmth to your flowers. ❤ You can also incorporate rustic textures from the outside. If your venue has a vineyard, pull some vines into your display or if it has wooden beams, add wood-framed arches, log slices or a rustic welcome sign at the entrance to greet your guests. ❤ We create bespoke packages and supply all the beautiful blooms that you’ll need to create your own flowers.
