It provides a blank canvas to be styled with any wedding theme. Inside, up to 100 guests can be seated at the vintage-style tables and chairs, while the chill-out area, home to hay bales and benches, creates a relaxed setting. The venue also benefits from a fully equipped bar and separate kitchen with oven, microwave, a preparation area and utilities, ideal for catering suppliers. Outside, there’s a large flat lawn area with a wooden hexagonal pergola and a variety of wooden chairs, tables and umbrellas. A highlight is the far-reaching, uninterrupted views of Codden Hill and the surrounding countryside, with the venue itself perched on a hill overlooking the village of Bishop’s Tawton. Larger ceremonies and receptions for up to 120 guests can take place inside the venue, under the entrance archway or outside in the wooden pergola on the lawn. Intimate gatherings of just 12 guests for a ceremony are hosted in the 17th-century side venue, and the charming farmhouse provides another intimate ceremony option, followed by a small reception for up to 10 loved ones. Bell tents, campervans and tents can be placed in two adjoining areas for wedding guests to stay overnight.
