Your North West Wedding- December 2021/January 2022 (Issue 71)

I lost my mum in December last year after a very short battle with cancer. She had already bought her dress and hat for our wedding and was so excited to see us tie the knot. She was a huge part of our lives and is dearly missed. The day was very emotional for all of us. Having loved ones attend that we hadn’t seen since the pandemic began was lovely. We couldn’t have asked for more. We are forever grateful and wouldn’t have had such a lovely day without their support. My sister, Amelia, was my maid-of-honour and she opted for a sage dress from Chi Chi London. Mick’s Disco Fever was our DJ and entertainment for the reception. He kept the dancefloor full all evening, and everyone had a great time. Tom and his groomsmen wore navy suits from Slater Menswear. After visiting several boutiques, I finally found my dream dress at Brides at Charnock Farm. Gemma was amazing and helpi ng me pick out an embellished Maggie Sottero veil and gown. I accessorised with a a silver bracelet from Tom and a locket my mum had given shortly before she was diagnosed with cancer. REAL WEDDINGS 41
