This was followed by a whole baby chicken, coated in rosemary and lemon, with a side of sautéed wild mushrooms. To finish, I couldn’t resist a selection of ice cream. Overall, it was a beautifully balanced dining experience with an inviting ambience and thoughtfully prepared, flavourful dishes from start to finish. BREAKFAST FEAST After reluctantly dragging myself out of that heavenly bed, it was time to return for breakfast accompanied by gentle chatter and the scent of fresh coffee and warm pastries. Our table overlooked the streets of London, perfect for a bit of people-watching while sipping fresh orange juice and a rich hot chocolate. I went straight for a cooked breakfast, complete with expertly scrambled eggs (completely dream-worthy), tomatoes, mushrooms, baked beans and hash browns, all paired with toast. And, of course, I couldn’t skip the mini muffins and croissants - absolutely worth it. We left feeling full, energised and ready to explore London. THE ULTIMATE INDULGENCE The property is home to the Heavenly Spa by Westin, featuring five treatment rooms, a 12-metre swimming pool, a vitality pool, a relaxation room, the WestinWORKOUT™ Fitness Studio and a thermal suite home to a sauna, steam room, ice fountain and sensory shower. It’s clear the team has created a space designed for complete indulgence. I began my experience with a Baobab Scalp Massage, 30 minutes of pure bliss with an expert therapist. From the moment I stepped into the treatment room, Bree made me feel completely at ease. The treatment began with pressure points before moving into a deeply nourishing neck and scalp massage that had me completely melting. Afterwards, I was guided to the relaxation room, where peppermint tea, water and dried fruit awaited beside a cushioned lounger and cosy blanket in a softly lit space. Once fully relaxed, I spent time enjoying the spa facilities. The entire experience felt like a gentle reset, leaving me lighter, calmer and completely recharged. THE OVERVIEW Overall, this hotel is the ultimate setting for a mini-moon. I’ve been lucky enough to stay in many hotels across the city, but The Westin London City stands out as one of my favourites thanks to its stunning design, incredible food, thoughtful service and unbeatable location. We’ll most definitely be returning and next time, I might not leave that bed at all! REVIEW STAY 91
