Your Gloucestershire and Wiltshire Wedding- December 2021/January 2022 (Issue 30)

The table names were some of the most special things that we had on the day. We were lucky enough to have a guest from Kenya (who was unable to make it to the wedding due to travel restrictions) commission a local Kenyan artist to create beautiful pictures of different African animals. On the back of each picture was the name of the animal in English and Swahili. Our place names featured hand-written calligraphy and matched our other stationery. Our table plan was made using a large freestanding mirror which looked fantastic! Our other florist frequently creates wedding flowers for celebrations taking place at Bowood and made the table arrangements, cake garland, door displays, bouquets, buttonholes and corsages. We chose succulents for the bridesmaids’ bouquets and freesias for my bouquet which are my favourite flower, I love the smell of them. On our top table, we had a long, low foliage arrangement and displayed some of the bridesmaid bouquets in vases to add some colour. On the guest tables, we displayed rustic log slices t opped with small jars of gypsophila and floating candles as centrepieces. Each table ha d a pink or grey theme and a matching rose of this colour was seen in each of t he centrepieces. “Our photographer, Lauren, was so organised and took amazing pictures – we loved our couple portraits taken outside.” – Alex and Nick Our guests blew bubbles and threw confetti as we exited the church!
