Your East Midlands Wedding - August/September 2022 (Issue 51)

Zoom was the perfect app for ensuring all our guests could witness our entire wedding, especially Darren’s mum who felt she was still a big part of our day. The bridesmaids wore A-line chiffon gowns, whil e the flowergirls had ivory tulle dresses with a lace bodice, purple flower at the wa ist and ivory shoes. I wore a satin Sincerity dress with a diamanté and pearl belt. It originally wasn’t the gown I had in mind, but I loved the simplicity of the dress once I tried it on – plus it had pockets! Darren wore a tail suit and pinstripe trousers with an ivory waistcoat, pocket square and buttonhole. We had white pom poms on shepherds hooks, ivory chair covers with purple and lace sashes and a floral archway to decorate the ceremony space. For our wedding breakfast we had a melon dish for starters with champagne sorbet and tarragon syrup, chicken parmigiana with potatoes and seasonal vegetables for mains and a mixed berry pavlova for dessert. 26
