Your East Midlands Wedding - December 2021/January 2022 (Issue 47)

The groom and groomsmen all wore three-pieced suits, but James wore a different coloured jacket to stand out. The older bridesmaids wore ivory dresses with embellishments to tie in with the junior bridesmaids’ gowns. The flowergirls wore blush dresses to tie in with the colour scheme. After trying several dresses on, I picked a Suzanne Neville dress called Alicia and had the sleeves removed – I felt like a bride when I saw myself ! My lovely bridesmaids bought me a necklace from CARAT* LONDON for the day, which matched my wedding ring. I also borrowed a bracelet from my mum, which she had worn on her special day. We opted for a two-tiered lemon and Victoria spon ge cake, which was decorated in buttercream with gold leaves and dried flowers/gr asses. The venue provided all the catering on the day and the staff served the food in the middle of the tables for a more relaxed-styled meal. REAL WEDDINGS 35
