W henever one of our County Wedding Magazines reaches a ten-issue milestone, it’s always a moment to pause and reflect. This edition, we’re delighted to say, “Wow, we’ve hit 80!” It’s a wonderful achievement, and makes us incredibly proud. Of course, not many couples are fortunate enough to celebrate an 80th wedding anniversary, which got me wondering what this remarkable milestone represents. A quick Google search revealed something rather fitting: “The 80th anniversary is symbolised by the oak tree, representing strength, endurance and steadfastness, reflecting a marriage that has weathered all seasons of life.” I’m so pleased I looked it up, because what a beautiful sentiment. Whether you’re celebrating your first anniversary or your eightieth, those qualities are at the very heart of every lasting marriage – and something we can all aspire to.
