Bryony looked incredible in Huntleigh by Jane Hill, a strapless, ivory gown with sweetheart neckline and fishtail silhouette. It had a detachable train, which was very much appreciated come the evening! Having seen the dress online initially, she set out to find it, knowing right away it was the one for her. “Despite trying on various other styles, none of them compared,” she explains. Patrick, meanwhile, wore a three-piece ivory tux. He told Bryony he wanted to feel like James Bond, and that’s exactly what he achieved! “He looked incredible, and I’m so glad we kept the suit,” his bride tells us. His four groomsmen wore three-piece black tuxes, which complemented the bridesmaids’ dresses beautifully – simple and chic. The bridesmaids wore different styles in vintage cream. “Finding one dress for all five women was a huge challenge, so we settled on a colour and they all chose the style they liked most,” Bryony explains. Entertaining their guests was key to the couple, so from the moment they arrived a live singer was there to set the mood and encourage dancing as the afternoon progressed into the drinks reception. They’d also hired some large garden games and as a surprise for her new husband, Bryony booked two miniature confetti ponies. The couple had selected their favourite country tracks for a wedding breakfast playlist, before a DJ took the reins in the evening. There was also a popup casino with roulette and blackjack as a nod to Patrick’s Las Vegas stag do. For Bryony the highlight of the day was seeing her husband-to-be crying as she walked down the aisle. “I’ve never seen him cry before, so the fact he did in that moment meant everything,” she remembers. “He even surprised himself!” REAL WEDDINGS 31
