Your East Anglian Wedding - June/July 2026 (Issue 79)

Having been high-school sweethearts, Patrick proposed to Bryony at the Shangri-la Hotel in London in 2023. He’d arranged for their room to be decorated with rose petals and pictures of the couple, as well as for a photographer to capture the moment. “I always wanted to get engaged in private, and I’m so glad he remembered this,” Bryony shares. “The whole atmosphere was intimate and personal.” When looking for a wedding venue in the Woodbridge area, the couple fell in love with Woodhall Manor. “The team showing us around were very helpful and friendly, and we genuinely got such a good vibe from the moment we stepped foot inside,” Bryony explains. The bride-to-be had always envisioned a simple, romantic theme for the big day, and chose an ivory, champagne and gold palette. “Bringing everything to life really did take its time, as I’m always so specific about ideas and knew I wouldn’t be happy unless I achieved them fully,” she shares. As the couple are country music fans, they named their tables after their favourite Morgan Wallen songs and provided guests with shots topped with miniature cowboy hats. “The food was amazing throughout the day and seemed to be there constantly!” Bryony remembers. Canapés were followed by a traditional three-course wedding breakfast, and during the evening, the couple treated their loved ones to Mexican food cooked fresh in front of them, which was a huge hit. 30
