Charlotte and Max grew up in Plymouth, attended the same primary and secondary school and were in the same friendship group. “We got together when we were 15 and have been together ever since,” Charlotte tells us. The couple became engaged in 2018 when Max surprised her with a trip to New York. “He’d booked dinner at The River Café and we stopped to take a couple of photographs by the Brooklyn Bridge before heading inside,” Charlotte says. “A lady passing by kindly offered to take a photo of us and suddenly, Max got down on one knee, presented me with a ring and proposed! The lady turned out to be a secret photographer who Max had booked to plan and capture the proposal!
