Your Cheshire and Merseyside Wedding - January/February 2024 (Issue 73)

The groomsmen wore tuxes too but with champagne-coloured bow ties and pocket squares. They also had multicoloured socks from Oddballs, a charity sock subscription company. Dave loves them, so it was his little touch. During the day we had an ice cream stall, which was a big hit as it was 25 degrees, so everyone needed a cool down! Flavours were chocolate fudge brownie, raspberry Pavlova, mint choc chip and lemon sorbet. My four bridesmaids wore taupe sequin-top dresses. The lower half was a stretchy mesh, which was great for the two pregnant members of my bride tribe! Our two flowergirls wore little ivory dresses, which matched my veil with their horsehair finish. My mum and I made biscuits with white icing saying Mr & Mrs Peel plus our wedding date. I’d seen the idea on Facebook and they turned out great. For our flower arrangements we had my favourites, peonies, along with white and mocha VIP roses with plenty of foliage. Centrepieces were candelabras, white blossom trees, scattered crystals and lots of candles. I wore an ivory lace gown, style 9811 by Allure Bridals. It had a huge train, which was the main attraction for me. I always wanted a big dramatic train with something more simple on the front. 39 REAL WEDDINGS
