It was a simple design featuring a modern font to match our theme. Jonny’s dad, Mike, helped build us a gold stand made out of copper pipes to hang the table plan from.” Elise and Jonny chose blush, white and green flower arrangements and hired a floral backdrop for photographs along with a sweetie cart, signage, bathroom baskets and flip-flops. “Our delicious threetier cake had a gluten-free, salted caramel-flavoured top tier, a lemon drizzle cake as the middle tier and a vanilla and raspberry layer on the bottom,” Elise describes. “It was decorated with gold leaf detail to match our theme and we had a personalised cake topper and cake signage which looked great!” The talented team at the venue arranged the couple’s catering which included canapés of mini beef burgers, mini halloumi burgers, sweet chilli chicken skewers and prawn and guacamole bruschetta. “The starters included grilled halloumi and the main course was a chicken dish,” Elise says. “For dessert, we hired Polly’s Parlour to serve personalised ice cream to our guests and the evening food was pizza which everybody loved!” “Every supplier went above and beyond and the day came together as we had planned and was better than we could have imagined. The staff at Rackleys were amazing!” - Elise and Jonny REAL WEDDINGS 33
