An Essex Wedding - January/February 2023 (Issue 108)

My bridesmaids wore sage green dresses, which were all made to their individual sizes. They chose their own styles, which was important to me as it was their special day, too. My hair was styled in loose curls, teaming with a crystal comb to replace the veil taken out after the wedding breakfast. For my make-up, I opted for soft gold and brown shadow to complement my green eyes. Our magician was also our toastmaster – and he was amazing at both roles. His magic is incredible, and Terry and I still don’t know how he managed his bottle of wine trick! I didn’t want my bridesmaids and mum to feel left out when it came to transport, so also found them a VW camper van to journey in. They were delighted when they saw it! I had my heart set on a vintage car, with Layer Marney sourcing a 1929 Landis Lambda for me. I felt so special driving to the venue with my dad, with people waving at us as we drove through the villages and country lanes. Our guests enjoyed burgers, wraps and chips for the evening food, served from the caterer’s Citroën HY van. It was great to have something to soak up the alcohol! 45 REAL WEDDINGS
