An Essex Wedding - March/April 2022 (Issue 103)

It was a big thing for me to trust the suppliers as I’m so particular, but it was all in good hands. Once I sat in the ‘glam chair’ having my hair and make-up done with a Processco in hand, I was so chilled! From that moment on, I was so excited and had no nerves, no one could believe how relaxed I was! We had indoor fire fountains during our first dance to Ed Sheeran’s ‘Thinking Out Loud’ – the fountains went off to the lyrics: ‘kiss me under the light of a thousand stars’. We also had pink blossom trees behind the ceremony table, a neon light saying – Happily Ever After, floor-standing MR & MRS LED letters, and a Whispering Angel cart (my favourite!) to name just a few of the additional elements we had on the day. Our centrepieces comprised five high designs and five low styles. Everyone was amazed by the flowers and couldn’t believe they were all real! This was our dream cake! Not only did it look amazing, it tasted it too. Displayed on a silver cake stand it was seven tiers high to represent getting married on the 7th! I call it ‘lucky 7’ as our first date was the 7th, Tommy asked me to be his girlfriend on the 7th, and we tied the knot on the 7th! We had flowers everywhere: in the ceremony room, fresh rose petals scattered down the aisle, roses on the ai sle seats, rose petal confetti, top table runner, centrepieces, br idal and bridesmaids’ bouquets, buttonholes – we even had flowers scattered in between our wedding breakfast barbec ue to make it look pretty! We chose numerical table numbers displayed on round frosted acrylic for the tables. I’d seen That Amazing Place on Instagram, and other people’s weddings there just looked stunning. We v isited the venue in early January and booked it straight away – it was the only venue we looked at! It lives up to it’s name and the staff are brilliant. Tommy and I completed the table plan together, it was presented on a beaded mirror on an easel against a pink blossom tree. 34
