Welcome back So Sinatra

So Sinatra is doing a re-launch with new branding into the wedding scene after finishing his theatre show tour with a trip to Palm Springs and Hollywood - and we're lucky enough to have him exhibit at our Signature Wedding Show at Mercedes-Benz World.

So Sinatra first launched as full time Sinatra singer in 2002 and after 13 years of performing at over 1,000 weddings parties and corporate events decided to fulfil a long held ambition to produce his own theatre show about Sinatra's life.
The Sinatra repertoire is enormous at over 1200 songs, so It took 9 months to research and compile the story, record the narration and audio visuals before the first performance.
Off the back of the show he was asked to perform in Palm Springs (Sinatra's home for 50 years) for three weeks at the start of the year , where he visited Sinatra's grave and on a trip to Hollywood, his hand and footprints at the Grauman Theatre.
"When I placed my feet into his footprints , 'Fly me to the moon' started to play on the sound system , which was quite spooky and both hands and feet fitted perfectly. I had long known that I was the same height but this was quite a revelation", shares Paul.

"The experiences and research have deepened my knowledge and joy in performing in the Sinatra persona and delivering the closest possible Sinatra sound. The Sinatra sound is so unique and iconic that it takes a lot of study and practice to emulate and with Sinatra's music meaning so much to whole families that I owe it to them to nail it every time.
"I love singing at wedding reception drinks, I use one of my big old style microphones, stand quite still and try to reproduce theperfect Sinatra sound as the guests emerge from the ceremony not realising the Sinatra song they are listening to is actually being sung live.Then there is a murmur across the crowd that guys singing or a lookalike miming? Often, someone comes close to watch my mouth before returning to their friends , 'Yes he is '. All great fun!

"When singing at the Wedding breakfast I loosen it up a little and try and create a relaxed and interactive performance, spending a little time with each of the tables.It takes years of experience to 'work a room' as every table has a different group of people will react and interact in different ways. My job is to give everyone a great personal and shared experience that they will remember forever, from the shy, to the extrovert wishing to sing a line or two. After visiting table to table the room always comes together for a rousing singalong finale. A great way to lift the energy in a room before the speeches."

So Sinatra Parties are a combination of live performance solo or band and Party DJ. A live Sinatra set to start leading to the cutting of the cake and either a Sinatra first dance or other recorded song starts the evening perfectly. Another short live set sometimes if there is a mid-evening snack can work better than just an empty dancefloor. "Then we party like crazy, usually with a list of the bride and groom's favourite tunes before a New York Finale," says Paul.

Look out for So Sinatra's new banners and flyers featuring wonderful photographs taken at a wedding overlooking Lake Como Italy. "I love the photograph so much! To me it captures what a wedding party should be all about, it's just pure Joy! I feel so blessed to be able to act as the catalyst to such amazing events in people's lives."

So Sinatra will be performing throughout the show as he feels this is the only way to experience the energy. "Videos and photos can only show so much, I get most of my work from those who see me perform live, either at other events or shows like this, I am so excited to be exhibiting at Mercedes world for the first time."
