A country classic

Kerrina and Ken's big day was a timeless, glamorous affair.

After seven years together Kerrina Kerr and Kenneth Bruce cemented their relationship with a grand English country garden wedding.

The couple met through work and were instantly drawn to each other. “We both have big personalities and we just hit it off straight away,” says Kerrina. After having their daughter Keira, they bought their first home together three years later. “We were celebrating moving in when Kenny proposed in front of all our family and friends. It was a total surprise,” Kerrina recalls.

They tied the knot at Hampshire's luxury Chewton Glen Hotel on 19th May, 2017 and opted for a classic look with pretty pink touches. Read on for Kerrina's account of their big day...

We first visited Chewton Glen as I'd seen it in an advertisement and thought it looked beautiful. We absolutely fell in love with the place and booked our wedding date there and then.

A country classic: Image 2aI found my lace dress at Anya Bridal the first day I went shopping. As soon as I tried it on, I knew it was the one. It was simple but elegant and complemented the venue perfectly.

A country classic: Image 2 My three nieces and our daughter were flowergirls. They looked adorable and had baskets of flower petals to scatter down the aisle.

I wanted my bridesmaids to look and feel as beautiful as I did on the day. They wore satin pink, one-shoulder dresses, which we had taken up to just above the knee, with silver Jimmy Choo sandals and I had the same in ivory.

A country classic: Image 4aWe kept the flowers simple; all white with hits of pink.

Kenny and his groomsmen, 17 in total, wore stylish light blue suits, all with our initials and wedding date on the inside of the waistcoats. Moss Bros said it was the largest order of made-to-measure suits they'd had.

A country classic: Image 6aWe wanted the day to be special for everyone, so all 150 guests stayed at the hotel and were blown away by the rooms and venue. It was so nice to treat all of our loved ones.

A country classic: Image 6 The reception band High Time was fantastic. They played a variety of old and new songs and kept the dancefloor busy all night.

We had a string quartet for the ceremony and reception drinks.
