Kellie-Marie Niescior met Christopher Mockford when they were both teachers at Clevedon Secondary School. “Christopher is head of maths and I teach dance and drama,” explains Kellie-Marie. “I was completing my teacher training at the time and I first met him during a school in-service day where he led one of the training sessions. From that moment we were instantly attracted to one another and the subtle flirting began before he asked me to go for drinks with him one evening. I made him wait a few weeks until our first date and we instantly connected with each other and have been inseparable ever since.”
Their connection is evident as Christopher popped the question only six months later while the couple were on holiday in Egypt. “I love the coast and the sea, and he'd arranged a private meal on the beach front where rose petals lined the path to the table, which was decorated in flowers and candles – the perfect set up,” recalls Kellie-Marie. “We wined and dined over lobster and champagne and it was a complete surprise when he got onto one knee and popped the big question! My engagement ring was perfect; a beautiful white gold cluster diamond, which I still look at every day!”
The happy pair set the date for 6th August, 2016 with a ceremony at Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church, Weston-super-Mare, followed by a reception at Clevedon Hall Estate, Clevedon.
Here, Kellie-Marie tell us more about their day...
The seating plan, table names, name tags, order of service and signage around the venue were in keeping with a rustic country theme.
I always knew I wanted a strapless dress with some form of lace element and found my Justin Alexander gown at the third boutique I visited. I chose a full-length veil, Charlotte Mills shoes, and a headpiece by Hermione Harburtt to complement the dress. I'd often walk past her shop and be so envious of the brides purchasing their headpieces – Hermione herself helped me to choose a piece called Meadow, which was stunning!
Our tableplan was made from a vintage-style picture frame with hessian and twine. We named each table after one of the many trees that surround Clevedon Hall. As we enjoy the outdoors and nature, it worked perfectly with our theme. The top table was called the Monkey Puzzle Tree, our favourite!
As Christopher and I have a sweet tooth – and I love ice cream – we hired an ice cream tricycle and a candy cart. These went down amazingly with the guests, especially the champagne sorbet as it was a really hot day! Waking up with my bridesmaids jumping around excited for the day to come is a moment I'll never forget; as well as seeing my dad's face when he saw me for the first time in my dress – priceless and caught on camera! Most people told us that the day would fly by and that we'd hardly get time to spend with each other. However, I felt that the day lasted an eternity and I appreciated every moment! 35

Our cake maker Elan blew us away with her designs as well as the taste of her delicious bakes!
I'd envisioned a certain colour for my bridesmaids' dresses and after an extensive search I came across the perfect dresses in Coast! They had a beaded halterneck-style neckline, which tied in with the beading from my dress, and were very elegant – the bridesmaids loved them.
Christopher wore a slim-fit navy-blue suit with matching waistcoat, along with a crisp, white shirt and brown brogues, which I'd brought him as a gift.
