Charlotte and Michael celebrated their love with a beautiful wedding at Red Hall Hotel.

Charlotte and Michael were introduced at work. “We frequently talked on the phone before we met in person,” says Charlotte. “I knew right away that I liked him, and when we finally came face-to-face, we organised a date for the next day.”

After six months together, Michael popped the question. “We went to a restaurant,” explains the bride. “I had an inkling that he was going to ask, but I was still surprised when he got down on one knee.”

Here she shares some of her favourite moments from their big day...

Classic elegance: Image 1 Michael and I decided to tie the knot in the beautiful Church of Emmanuel. Later in the day, we moved the celebrations to the Red Hall Hotel in Bury. The size, layout and on-site accommodation was exactly what we wanted. The staff were fantastic, and we couldn't have asked for more.

My favourite part of the day was marrying my best friend.

Our cake was delicious. I'm really upset that I didn't get to eat more of it! It was three tiers and decorated with icing and fresh flowers.

I chose an Allure Bridals gown called Amelia from The White Gallery. The lady in the shop actually picked it out for me. It was completely different to what I originally wanted, but I loved it.

For the flowers, I chose roses and hydrangeas. L&C Floral Design did a good job, and the final product was everything I wanted.

Classic elegance: Image 5 Michael opted for a navy suit from Zara. The groomsmen wore the same with black bow ties.

The bridesmaids chose simple grey dresses.

We decided to entertain our guests with a caricaturist. DJB Illustration was brilliant! Our friends and family loved having a memento to take home with them, and it passed the time while we waited for the food to be served.

Classic elegance: Image 7 The best man's speech was hilarious and something we'll never forget.

In the evening, we hired a DJ, a photo booth and a candy cart. We chose a mixture of '80s songs that got everyone up on the dancefloor.

For our honeymoon, we went to Santorini for a week. It was incredible!
