Sara and Craig celebrated their big day at the gorgeous Crug Glâs Country House & Restaurant

Sara and Craig were close friends for many years until one night after attending a party together, they decided to try dating. After two and a half wonderful years, Craig popped the question during a holiday to Greece. “He took me to a small village called Zia for dinner, we watched the sunset and went for a walk to a nearby church that offered breathtaking views of the island. I was admiring the scenery when Craig suddenly got
down on one knee, it was a complete surprise and I burst out crying, it wasjust perfect!”

Here, she shares some of her favourite moments from their big day...

We visited Crug Glâs Country House & Restaurant and knew right away that it was the perfect venue for us. The owners, Janet and Perkin were so lovely and went out of their way to make sure we were happy. We loved that we had exclusive-use of the property and that we were able to decorate it a few days before the ceremony.

We were both nervous and extremely excited on the morning of the wedding but as soon as the ceremony was over we relaxed and enjoyed the rest of the day.

My dress was designed by Jesus Peiro and I purchased it from High Society Bridal in Cowbridge. It was a style I never thought I'd go for but as soon as I tried it on I knew it was the one. I didn't like the original belt so I combined it with one from another gown, which looked amazing.

Craig and the groomsmen wore navy suits with grey waistcoats, blossom pink ties and a beautiful flower to match the bridesmaids' gowns.

The bridesmaids wore blossom pink Alfred Sung dresses that we purchased from High Society Bridal. One of my maids was heavily pregnant at the time and she wore a Dessy floor-length gown that matched the others perfectly.

The décor was provided by Megan & Claude and my grandmother created homemade Welshcakes for our favours that went down a treat.

For our centrepieces we chose large candelabra decorated with beautiful blooms from Blodwen Flowers. We incorporated pink David Austin roses, eucalyptus foliage, berries, astilbe and gypsophila.

We purchased our big-day bake from Cake Carousel, Claire did an amazing job it was three tiers and was made up of white chocolate, raspberry, lemon curd and carrot.

We had a sweet table full of our favourite treats including popcorn, Reese's Pieces, Percy Pigs, Pretzels and M&M's.

We're both gin lovers so we decided to incorporate the drink into our table plan and déco

We had lawn games provided by Megan & Claude set up outside and our friends and family loved them.

To entertain our guests we hired the Rhosyn Wen String Quartet who played during the drinks reception, they created a lovely atmosphere and were great.

Craig was extremely nervous about his speech but he did an amazing job and he made everyone laugh.

In the evening we had a band perform called Audio Sugar, they were a big hit and some of my friends even joined in for a sing-along!

We went to Sri Lanka and the Maldives for three weeks for our honeymoon it was the best holiday we've ever been on and was just amazing

The whole day was perfect, we wouldn't change a thing and we wish we could do it all again!
