44 SUSTAINABLE BRITISH BLOOMS “Sustainability in flowers is an important factor that we all need to take into account,” Lindsey says. “I love working with British grown flowers and Yorkshire has some amazing flower farms such as Yorkshire Flower Farm, Wild Bee Flower Farm (www.wildbeeflowerfarm.com), and Raspberry Wild Flowers. You can buy by the bucket and the flowers are so striking. They’ll usually have a wildflower look to them and are available in the spring and summer months.” CEREMONY FEATURES “I’m a huge fan of a ceremony arch or grounded meadow. I think it just finishes off the styling and adds a huge impact to the day,” Lindsey shares. “I love a church arch or a broken arch that has been made up of beech greenery, smilax, ivy with big statement flowers such as hydrangeas and garden roses. Arches come at a cost though and usually start from £1,500. A grounded meadow is a lovely way to create the same effect but is slightly less expensive. These can make a wonderful ceremony backdrop as the couple are reading their vows.” Zoe Richardson on Unsplash Erin & Peony © www.jacquelinelouisephotography.com Erin & Peony © https://georginaharrisonphotography.co.uk Heather & Moss © https://firewoodfilm.com Heather & Moss © https://firewoodfilm.com GOING GREEN “One trend I’ve seen plenty of is the use of greenery with very few flowers,” Jo says. “There have been lots of green bridesmaids too, which creates a lovely foresty vibe.”
