FLOWERS 43 We explore this year’s wedding floral trends with the help of the region’s experts SAY IT WITH FLOWERS Nothing brings a wedding venue to life quite like fresh flowers, and year on year the region’s floral designers continue to find ever more creative ways to use them. So, here we take a look into the trends that are really exciting us at the moment, while the experts tell us more about them. FRUITS AND FLORALS Jo Gawthorpe from Heather & Moss (www.heatherandmoss. com) says, “Fruits paired with florals has been oh-so popular in the wedding industry’s styled shoots so far this year, so I fully expect this to filter through into couple’s requests later in 2025 and into 26.” Vicky Endersby from Wonderland Blooms (www. wonderlandblooms.uk) says, “The fruit and flora trend of 2025 is leaning into soft romanticism, organic abundance, and tactile elegance. This year celebrates a return to natural textures and a whimsical, almost painterly layering of elements. Fresh fruits (particularly grapes, melons, pears, and citrus) are no longer just edible accents but are being elevated to core decorative features. They’re artfully nestled among lush hydrangeas, delicate delphiniums, and cascading orchids, creating tablescapes that feel both bountiful and intentional. “This aesthetic is perfect for couples and creatives who want their designs to feel poetic and immersive. The mix of edible and floral elements suggests a sensory richness, encouraging guests to not just look, but feel and experience the setting. Overall, 2025 is about storytelling through texture and tone—fruit and flowers becoming not just decoration, but narrative.” “This gorgeous trend has been on Insta feeds for years now hailing from florists across the pond in Australia and California,” says Lindsey Chadburn from Erin & Peony (https://erinandpeony.com). “I’m particularly fond of Oh Flora Studio’s (www.instagram.com/ ohflorastudio) use of colour and fruit in their work.” Heather & Moss © www.natalierussellphotography.co.uk © @ohfloraschool and @ohflorastudio Wonderland Blooms © https://lucydennisphotography.co.uk Heather & Moss © https://bethanystanley.com MONOFLORAL ARRANGEMENTS “In terms of 2025 trends, monocolour is definitely popular,” says Jo. “I’m still seeing a lot of burnt orange; while butter yellow is becoming more prevalent.” Lindsey continues, “Black and white flower styling is a simple and stylish way to dress your wedding. Pair with black candlesticks, lanterns, moongate arches and use all white flowers usually in the form of gypsophila and a lovely garden rose such as a Playa Blanca. It’s a timeless trend that exudes elegance.”
