I put together our venue decor myself. I chose beautiful sage and cream table runners to pair with some dried flowers, which I made into centrepieces. Brendan wore a baby blue suit with Nike Air Force trainers, which he was thrilled about. We wanted to feel ourselves and we achieved that. We wanted to express the relaxed vibe of our day through our outfits. Our groomsmen and bridesmaids were allowed to dress as they wished, and they all scrubbed up well! We believe in individualism and our friends and family are adored for who they are. My wedding dress came from an Etsy seller, which felt like such a risk as I wasn’t able to ty it on before taking the plunge. But when I saw it, I knew it was the one and the risk definitely paid off as it was absolutely perfect. Brendan’s favourite part of the day was the exchanging of vows, while mine has to be the confetti walk and first kiss. After the ceremony, we were made to feel like royalty, everybody went above expectations to create the best day of our lives. We chose a horseshoe table seating plan so that we could have our friends and family around us and chat together as one group. 40
