Your Yorkshire Wedding - January/February 2021 (Issue 46)

Venues with a story to tell SNEATON CASTLE 01947 603 150 | www.sneatoncastlewhitby.co.uk What can you expect? New to the Whitby wedding scene, Sneaton Castle is an enchanting venue with a rich history. With the Sisters of the Holy Paracelete in residence for more than 100 years, the castle, priory and chapel stand in one of the most iconic buildings in the area. The Morley family, who also own The Stables at Cross Butts nearby, fell in love with the building when it came up for sale in 2019. After undergoing an extensive refurbishment, it has been transformed into a sensational wedding venue with beautifully secluded gardens making a picture-perfect backdrop for photos. Inside, the venue seamlessly blends original features with everything a modern couple could need. Time to celebrate! Celebrations are held in the impressive fully-licensed Norman-style Chapel. With its spectacular hand-painted domed ceiling, blossom trees and floral arches, it’s a memorable setting for up to 200 guests to enjoy the wedding breakfast, and up to 300 people for the reception. We love… Committed to exclusivity, the venue will only host one wedding ceremony per day. Couples will also love the Bridal Dressing Room.
