Q&A Our local pros solve your problems Fashion and Beauty Yuki by Alan Hannah DESIGNS ON YOU I have a very full bust. What styles will suit me and how can I get the right support? Congratulations! You’re about to start that all-important wedding dress shopping journey. As well as being excited to try on different styles, you also have that niggling worry that so many brides have. You were graced with an amazing figure and fuller bust, and you don’t need to worry about finding a style that suits you and makes you feel great. Your local bridal shop consultant is there to guide and assist you in looking and feeling your very best, and most importantly, making sure you’re comfortable on your wedding day. When looking at different styles, try to look for a structured bodice, which will give you maximum support. You could also consider straps or sleeves – either short or long – as they will enhance the support for your bust. Don’t be frightened to experiment, and also trust the advice of your consultant, whose job it is to help you find the one . As an example, I’ve picked out the stunning Yuki gown from Alan Hannah. It’s a statement structured column dress with a detachable train for added wow factor. This look lends itself perfectly to natural, ethereal bridal styling, which is great if you want to look relaxed and romantic on your wedding day. Look for inspirational styles in magazines or online that have a similar hair colour and length to your own. Remember, a lot of boho looks use clip-in extensions for fullness and length. Even the most relaxed-looking styles will require good hair preparation; there’s a myth that boho hair is quick to do. In fact, most of these styles take a while to prepare – it’s absolutely worth the effort though! For finishing touches, I love using fresh or dried flower vines or pins. I’ve also recently started weaving a variety of textured ribbons from hair crowns into braids. This looks beautiful in hair that has been styled into a half-up-half-down look or long trailing braids. Have fun and get experimental with your stylist at your trial. Be open to ideas, and you’ll find your hair do will look even more incredible. Keep nourishing your locks in the lead-up to your day with regular masks, oils and reducing the amount of heat you use on it – and always use heat protection! If you colour your hair, make sure to use Olaplex in your colour. Lottie Haigh | Lottie Haigh Wedding Hair www.lottiehaigh.com 66
