All the latest from around the region Nearlywed NEWS SUSTAINABLE BEAUTY Ethical bridal designer Luna Bride has released a new sustainable bridesmaids’ collection. Created by founder and designer Keely Brightmore from her Harrogate studio, the range comprises a trio of styles: a modern jumpsuit, a stylish wrap dress and a slinky bias-cut style. Each design is available in ten colourways and comes in two of of the world’s most sustainable fibres – linen and Tencel – and are made by local seamstresses, which reduces the products’ carbon footprint. “It has taken a year to work out the best way to create designs that use high-quality production while remaining affordable,” Keely explains. “Many people don’t realise that popular bridesmaids brands continue to use polyester and manufacture in China, making this eco-conscious collection something totally different.” The fashion-forward styles lend themselves to be worn again, which increases the sustainability factor even further. There are also matching bags and headbands in the pipeline!
