Your Yorkshire Wedding - May/June 2020 (Issue 42)

It was important to both of us to have a church wedding, and we fell in love with the church at Wentworth. It’s not far from where we live and the vicar was so welcoming. We opted for vintage pastels as our theme. Our floral arrangements consisted of peonies and roses mixed with gypsophila in the most romantic, soft hues. We had a mix of birdcages and lanterns on the tables and a vintage tea set on the top table. Our semi-naked cake looked absolutely beautiful adorned with fresh flowers. The table plan was mounted on a decorative mirror that I borrowed from my friend. The place settings were a similar design to our invitations, which were hand-decorated with little butterflies and coordinating colours. I wanted something quirky for favours, so we got M&Ms personalised with a picture of us. We chose colours to match the day and my friends helped me put them in sleeves. REAL WEDDINGS 35
