Your Yorkshire Wedding - November/December 2019 (Issue 39)

I was scrolling online for venues in Hull and I fell in love with Dunedin Country House as soon as I saw it. When we visited, the staff were so welcoming; it knocked spots off any other venue we looked at. There’s a gorgeous fireplace in the entrance of the venue, which was dressed with candles and foliage. Our florist also made arrangements for the venue’s five-foot candleholders. We had a basket of flip flops for our guests to help themselves to in the evening. We decided on a vintage theme with a blush and grey palette. Our floral arrangements included astrantia, dill, astilbe and amnesia rose alongside eucalyptus and foliage. They were all classic, muted shades, which were also used in posy arrangements on top of a log slice for the table centrepieces. Belle Bijoux provided beautiful stationery and everything complemented the theme perfectly. The table plan was mounted on a big silver frame and our place settings were made from wood with a silver finish. We struggled to decide what to give as favours, in the end we opted for scratch cards in coordinating envelopes. 46
